Pedagogue (“we”) provides safeguarding and AI briefing resources to schools. This notice explains what personal data we collect through this page, why we collect it, and the rights you have under UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018.
Who is the controller
Pedagogue is the data controller for the personal data described here. You can contact us at hello@pedagogue.io for any privacy question or request.
What we collect
- The email address, and optionally the role, you enter when requesting the staff briefing.
- Which resource you requested and downloaded.
- Campaign attribution: UTM parameters, LinkedIn and Google click identifiers, the referring page and the page URL you landed on.
- Basic usage data such as page views, scroll depth and download events, collected only where you have accepted cookies.
Why we use it, and our lawful basis
- To send you the resource you asked for and provide access to it — performance of your request (contract / legitimate interests).
- To contact you about Pedagogue's products and services relevant to your professional role, using the business contact details you provided — legitimate interests, under the soft opt-in permitted for B2B correspondence. You can object at any time.
- To send occasional safeguarding updates and newsletters — consent, given by ticking the opt-in box on the form. You can withdraw this at any time via the unsubscribe link in any update.
- To measure how the briefing page performs — consent, given through the cookie banner.
Sharing
We use processors to run this service: our website and database hosting provider, our CRM (HubSpot) for storing enquiries and sending email, and analytics providers (Google Analytics 4 and LinkedIn) where you have accepted cookies. We do not sell personal data.
Retention
Enquiry records are kept for up to 24 months from your last interaction with us, then deleted or anonymised. Analytics data is retained according to the provider’s standard settings (14 months for Google Analytics 4).
Your rights
You have the right to access, correct, erase, restrict or object to our use of your data, and to data portability. Email hello@pedagogue.io and we will respond within one month. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.
Children
This page is intended for school staff. We do not knowingly collect personal data relating to pupils or from anyone under 18.
